Austin Dog Show 042016

Austin Dog Show 04-2016 Trip

We took all our Norwich Terriers to the Austin Dog Show this last weekend and what fun. A busy weekend for Maria as she spent time with Judi and PW, our Handlers Extraordinaire. All the Norwich Terrier Kids loaded up in the motorhome to go camping. We arrived Friday afternoon to a sunny, cool day. Set out the mat and play pen for the kids and a couple of chairs for us and enjoyed the afternoon.

We had an early show the next morning where Gabby did wonderfully earning Best of Opposite Sex. She would repeat that Sunday. So there’s a picture of her on the beauty table waiting her turn. The other Norwich kids got to tour the show and shops and see all sorts of things. Puppy nose’s were working overtime taking it all in. They had fun and naps were the order of the day.

Finally, this was Sassy’s last trip to a show with us. She heads to her new forever home this coming weekend. So there’s a picture of her just before we left for the show. While it will make us sad to see her go, we know she will be very happy in her new home. Congrats to her and to her new mom.

By the way… they like Baked Cheddar Goldfish.

Forth Worth Dog Show 03/2016

We took all the Norwich Terrier kids to Will Rogers Memorial Center in Fort Worth for a Dog Show. Only Gabby would be showing but all the kids love to go “camping”. Gabby, in her second show ever, took reserve on Saturday. I have to say she looked pretty darn cute. The ring was in a new building which was really nice, concrete floors instead of the dirt in the old one.
So what we do is load up the motorhome with the goodies such as grooming tools, food, both human and dog, clothes, crates and of course our car seats for the older Norwich Terrier kids. Those get seat belted into the couch and are tall enough they can see out the window while we travel. This is a lot like moving though some stuff, like the pens we have, stay on the motorhome in between trips. Its a major production and the terrier kids are either in the front yard or looking out the window watching the loading going on. Have some pictures of that below along with some others. Gabby is being shown by Judi in that picture.
Scotty is hanging out, having fun. He will be with us for a while yet, waiting to go to his forever home. They are really excited but have to finish traveling before they come meet us. Sassy is also with us but her new mom and dad came to the show with some other folks to meet her. That was really nice and they are looking forward to her moving in with them after they come back from traveling. And the Norwich Terriers in the window, well from the left that is Bailey, Suzie, Sassy and Penny.

First Norwich Terrier Show 2016

The Norwich kids just turned 6 months so they get their first time in the ring at an official AKC conformation show. It was the San Antonio Kennel Club show held in Kerrville Tx this past weekend. It was a really nice facility and we really enjoyed ourselves. So we loaded up the motorhome with 7 Norwich Terriers and us for the weekend. Thats three puppies and four adults traveling with us. Our other puppy, Gabby, was staying with our handlers, Judi and PW.

We would show three of them; Gabby, Suzie and Sassy. Our fourth puppy, Scottie, we did not show but had him walking around with us to get him out. Scottie had a good time and got to meet lots of folks. He will be going to a new forever home soon and we will miss him. Sassy is looking for a forever home but we showed her just to get her exposed to all the action. Once they all got going, they did really well. Good for them!

Gabby and Suzie really did well in and out of the show ring. Gabby won Best of Opposite Sex on Sunday and it was a Major to boot so good for her.

Of course we have pictures of the kids and them getting made up. One picture is of their area inside the motorhome. Helps prevent puppy mistakes on the carpet. Cursor over for captions or click on one for a carousel slide show.

Puppies older, loosing the puppy coat.

So the pups are a bit older here, in their playpen at home. You can see them with the dark puppy coat then after grooming, stripping, the puppy coat. Pretty darn cute.

New Puppies are here!

These are a bit late making it onto our site but thought y’all would like to see a history. Here’s the new pups born in August. Penny’s singleton on Aug 20th and Bailey’s four on August 22nd 2015. Cursor over for captions or click for enlarged show.

Puppies on the way

We are late getting this up, just started the web site. Thought we would give a little history/timeline on this litter. So, July/August of 2015. Puppies are on the way! Ultrasound shows them, here’s dad. Bailey is one of the moms.
